The Company That Creates Color Just Made My Year

I have spent twenty-one years as an interior designer insisting that color is the most powerful tool in a room, and the company whose entire reason for existing is color just put my name on it. As much as I want to gracefully and quietly accept this honor, I will take any reason to talk about my most favorite topic and to take a look back on past projects where color won out over another bland space.
Color is one of the first conversations I have with a client, because it sets the temperature and the mood of a space before anything else. Specifically, I want to know what colors they don’t like and what they’d never want to use in their space.
When I’m able to put my active listening skills to good use, we land on a color that doesn’t just decorate a room; we find the color IS that room. Paint any of these rooms a careful greige, and suddenly, they go limp (like an underwhelming handshake).
My clients are sharp, accomplished people who carry enormous responsibilities at work without blinking. But when they stand in front of a paint deck, they absolutely lose their nerve in the overwhelm of options. I get it. Color feels permanent, and choosing poorly is like one wrong move away from total regret. However, the rooms people fall in love with almost always trace back to a color decision somebody was brave enough to commit to.
Getting you there without the panic is my job. We pair color with the full context of a space - textiles, lighting, accessories, etc. - because a gorgeous color accompanied by the wrong players is just money you set on fire. Our expertise is in making sure it harmonizes with the rest of the elements in a space. By the time you sign off on a bold paint color, there’s no gamble involved; you’re simply collecting on a sure thing we built together.
