Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals

Black Friday has a reputation problem. The deals feel desperate, the energy feels frantic, and half the "discounts" are for things nobody wanted at full price anyway. (My mom and I often reminisce about the year we dragged ourselves out of bed at 4am to be the first in line at the mall when it opened at 5am, only to realize when we brought our armloads of items to the register that NONE of it was included in the Black Friday specials! We dropped the items and left, empty-handed.)

What I've learned after years of navigating these sales is that the best finds are the items you've been watching all year finally becoming accessible. These are the pieces you've had saved, the upgrades you've been putting off, the small indulgences that suddenly make sense.

I'm sharing five finds worth the Black Friday chaos. These are items I'd buy myself (and in some cases, already have) that happen to be at their best prices right now.

1. Wavy Talk Blowout Boost Ionic Thermal Brush

Wavy Talk Blowout Boost Ionic Thermal Brush

Salon blowouts cost what, $175 now? More in some cities? This brush pays for itself in three uses. The dual-heat plates work like having a round brush and blow dryer in one hand, which means you're not performing gymnastics in front of your mirror trying to coordinate both. The ionic technology sounds like marketing speak until you see how it actually tames frizz without that crunchy, over-styled look.

Whether you want volume at the roots or loose waves throughout, this does it in half the time of traditional styling. It's the difference between "I tried" and "I woke up like this."

2. Stakt Weights

Stakt Weights

Most hand weights are an eyesore that you hide under the bed or in a closet, which means you never actually use them. These are adjustable between 2, 4, and 6 pounds with a simple twist (genius for progressive training), and the minimalist design won’t ruin your curated home aesthetic if you happen to leave them out. These are on my wish list because they don’t scream "home gym."

For anyone who claims they'd work out more if it were just easier to start, this removes every excuse. No digging through closets, no mismatched dumbbells, just grab and go.

3. Loeffler Randall James Quilted Jacket

Quilted jackets are having a moment, but too many of them look like you're either going to a country estate shoot or borrowed your dad's hunting gear. This one is elevated and adorable!

The brown and butter plaid feels vintage, and those flower-shaped buttons are the detail that makes the whole thing feel special. The boxy fit means you can layer a chunky sweater underneath without looking like a marshmallow. It's the jacket you throw on over everything from jeans to dresses and somehow always look pulled together.

4. Larroudé Verona Flat with Shearling

Ballet flats are back, but let's be honest, most of them are form over function, leaving your feet miserable by noon. These manage to be both adorable and comfortable, which feels revolutionary. The double-face shearling molds to your foot, and the rich color options mean they work with everything in your winter wardrobe. (I’m partial to this particular pairing of suede and shearling!)

These are the flats you'll wear on repeat all season: to the office, out to dinner, running weekend errands. They make every outfit look pulled together without any effort.

5. Aurate Wavy Ring in White Sapphire

Aurate Wavy Ring in White Sapphire

Delicate jewelry can feel too precious to wear daily, but substantial pieces often feel too statement-y for regular life. This ring lives in that perfect in-between and is at a phenomenal price point.

The wavy design has movement and interest without being loud, and the white sapphires catch light beautifully without the upkeep of diamonds. The vermeil means it's substantial enough to last but not so precious that you're paranoid about wearing it. It looks equally good stacked with other rings or worn alone (I actually purchased two and wear them together every day), which is exactly what you want in a piece you'll reach for constantly. This is the ring that makes your hands look elegant even when you're typing emails or running errands.

Why You Won’t Regret These Black Friday/Cyber Monday Finds

Don’t be tempted to overconsume when it comes to Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. Instead, focus on finally getting the things that will actually improve your daily life. These aren't impulse purchases you'll regret next month. They're the upgrades you've been considering, the pieces that earn their place by getting used constantly, the items that make ordinary routines feel a little more special.
